Do you provide On-Site support? 

Absolutely, almost all of our customer service requests are conducted on customer premises.  In some instances it is more prudent to repair the system off-site (i.e. serious virus infections, data recovery, extended system repair, etc.) since the cumulative service costs may be extensive.  In those particular cases a technician will come to your location and retrieve your ailing computer.

Are your Computer Repair Representatives professional, courteous, and properly vetted? 

Absolutely, we wouldn’t allow anything other than professional and courteous customer service.  All our Technicians retain at a minimum a Full Field Background Investigation (FFBI) which entails a lengthy investigation period covering all aspects of a candidate’s life.  Many of our Technicians retain even higher federally issued security clearances.

I have personal information on my system.  What is your procedure in regards to safeguarding my personal information?

Personally Identifiable Information (PII) with regards to any document, file, or program on your computer will not be viewed, modified, copied, or removed without the expressed verbal or written consent of the customer.    Some services rendered by Geek Next Door may require that files and folders may need to be accessed (i.e. Data Recovery, File Transfer(s), System Upgrades, etc.) during the requested service.  Geek Next Door will take every reasonable precaution to safeguard your personal information.

What are your rates compared to other leading competitors?

Geek Next Door on average is 20% less than the leading Corporate competitors such as Best Buy, onCALL 25/8, and Geeks on Call. Please review the "How we Compare" section above to see a detailed comparison.

Is hardware and software included in the price quote? 

Unfortunately, no!  Hardware and software costs for components that need to be replaced, installed, or upgraded will be incurred by the customer.  Geek Next Door Service Representatives will notify the customer of any additional costs.
 

Are you contractually obligated to endorse one product over another?

No!  We will recommend products solely on their individual merits (such as Anti-Virus Software).  We will not recommend products or services if we did not believe it helps our customers. 

What is your appointment/ cancellation policy?   

We strive to meet our customers within 1 hour of the projected appointment time.  Depending on circumstances beyond our control, some appointments may be delayed longer than expected (i.e. traffic congestion, weather, etc.)  in which case a representative will call you in advance to notify you of the delay.  

Cancellations & Rescheduling of appointments must be made three hours prior to the appointment time.  A cancellation fee of $90.00 will be assessed otherwise. 


Rescheduling appointments will be limited to one occurrence after which time a charge of $90.00 will be assessed to the customer in addition to or separate to any services rendered. No shows are considered cancellations without proper prior notice and customers will be assessed applicable cancellation fees.
 
Customers canceling or rescheduling appointments due to Geek Next Door not meeting the appointment time will not be assessed fees or penalties.  Geek Next Door representatives may waive fees for extenuating circumstances upon individual discretion.
